Nepal Skill Initiative Project (NSIP)

 

Nepal Skill Initiative Project- NSIP, an NGO was incorporated on 2023 with the team of 20 years’ experienc and expertise in the field of project management and skill development training. NSIP- NGO is providing free skill development training to youths, disadvantage women and other backward community in the society across the globe, with a variety of futuristic courses. We believe that education and skills should go hand in hand then only we can build sustainable future. Our main moto is to create employment –ready by transferring skills and build confidence and assist them with innovative thinking.

Nepal is lagging behind due to various problems i.e., poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, medical infrastructure, etc. Skill development can mitigate poverty, utilize demographic dividend, socio-economic empowerment of underprivileged sectors that achieve economic growth, and reduce social challenges & economic inclusion. In the present time, most of the Youth being educated but facing severe unemployment problems due to the lack of skills, guidance, and technical education. Most of the Youth are unaware of the developments and schemes provided by Govt.

About Founders and Directors:

The founders & directors are working in the education/training sector as well as industry experts for the past decades. All the members have very good track record and experience in social work, management and skill development training. After working on numerous national and International Skills development projects they realized that people, specially youth from underprivileged backgrounds just needed one chance and appropriate tools to get advancement in their careers. Channelizing this experience, the founders were inspired to take the work of Skills-based education on a global level and provide it to the disadvantaged part of the society. And to fulfill this mission NSIP is moving towards becoming the leading source of uplifting the needy yet deserving students. Apart from the expert founders/directors, the NGO connects the passionate and expert volunteers in their team who join hands in cultivating youth in various futuristic skills apart from the regular education provided in the institutions. As we know, Youth always play a crucial role in achieving the economic growth and prosperity of any country. NSIP works toward building practical skills, which will create more job opportunities resulting in the advancement of the Global Economy.

 

 Vision:

Impart the quality skill based training for disadvantage group to improve the employability and income & strengthening competitiveness of the country.

 

Mission:

  • Enhance, support and coordinate different sector initiatives for skill development through appropriate model.
  • Upgrade skills through technical skills, soft skills & entrepreneurial skills and develop necessary framework and standards.

 

 

Objectives:

  • To create opportunities and scope for disadvantaged people.
  • To bridge the skill gap in rural areas by providing training and skill development programs.
  • To establish effective coordination between different ministries, the central government, the States and public and private providers.

NSIP is designed into three intervention areas by

  • Play the role of a ‘market-maker’ by bringing funds, particularly in sectors where market mechanisms are ineffective or missing and explore innovative approach to fill the gap between market need and skill.
  • Focusing on the quality improvement of Provincial Training Centers (PTCs) through a various development process and using collaborative school development tools.
  • Providing market need based training (technical, soft skills & entrepreneurial skills) to disadvantaged and backward groups specially youth.

Cross-cutting themes such as Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), Environmental Protection, Child rights protection and Good Governance are mainstreamed into all interventions.
